Creator Challenge Rules
Rules for the Gongsio China Creator Challenge 2026.
1. Who runs it
The challenge is run by 1613910 B.C. LTD. (Gongsio), a British Columbia company. Questions: hello@gongsio.com or ronan001@student.ubc.ca.
2. Who can take part
Students confirmed on the Gongsio China study tour.
3. Your account
- Only new accounts may enter. Use a RedNote (Xiaohongshu) or Douyin account that has fewer than 100 followers at the start of the challenge. We check this when you register the account with Gongsio.
- Submit your account to us by December 1, 2026, including the account's unique ID (account ID / UID).
4. Training before the trip
Every participant takes the same platform training course before the trip.
5. Required hashtags and tags
- Every challenge post must use every required hashtag, including #GongsioChallenge.
- Every challenge post must tag every required account, including Gongsio's official account on that platform.
- The full list of required hashtags and accounts is announced before departure, before the challenge starts.
- Gongsio's official RedNote and Douyin accounts will be announced before the account submission date (December 1, 2026).
- A post missing any required hashtag or tag does not count.
6. How the winner is decided
Two rankings, each worth 50%:
- (a) Views: total views across all of your eligible challenge posts.
- (b) Followers gained: followers you gain during the challenge period, counted from your starting follower number when you registered the account (followers you already had do not count).
Your two ranks are combined. The participant with the lowest (best) combined rank wins.
- Views and followers count up to 11:59 PM Vancouver time (Pacific Time), February 1, 2027. All deadlines and cut-off times are in Vancouver time (Pacific Time).
- How views and followers are checked: you give us each account's unique ID (account ID / UID), and Gongsio checks views and followers periodically.
- A public leaderboard is updated every week.
- Tie-break: if combined ranks are tied, the participant whose first eligible challenge post was published earliest wins.
7. Prize
One grand prize: C$7,999 cash.
8. Disqualification
Buying views, followers or engagement, using bots, or reposting other people's content means disqualification.

Terms & Refund Policy
Gongsio is operated by 1613910 B.C. LTD., a British Columbia company (registered office: 667 Acadia St, Kelowna, BC V1V 0A8). Questions: hello@gongsio.com or ronan001@student.ubc.ca.
1. Applying is free
The round 1 questionnaire is free and non-binding. Submitting it does not commit you to anything. We review answers, then contact you to confirm a spot. Only after your spot is confirmed do we send you a deposit link.
2. Price
The trip costs C$7,999 per person. It covers round-trip group flights (Vancouver–Shanghai), hotels, ground transport, planned visits, some meals and travel medical insurance (arranged by Gongsio). Anything not listed (personal spending, other meals, optional activities, passport and visa fees) is not included.
Early bird: pay your C$500 deposit before November 14, 2026 and the full tour price is C$7,499 instead of C$7,999 (C$500 off).
3. Deposit
- A C$500 deposit holds your spot and is non-refundable, except as listed in section 5.
- The remaining balance is C$6,999 if you paid your deposit before November 14, 2026 (early bird), or C$7,499 otherwise. It is due by November 21, 2026.
4. Cancelling after you pay the balance
Refund of the balance: cancel before November 21, 2026: full refund of everything except the C$500 deposit. Cancel on or after November 21, 2026 and before departure: 50% of the balance refunded. After departure: no refund.
Insurance: Travel medical insurance is included in the trip fee, and Gongsio arranges it for every participant. Trip cancellation insurance is not included. If you want coverage for personal circumstances (for example, illness before departure), you may buy it yourself, since our refund policy cannot cover personal circumstances.
How to request a refund
Email hello@gongsio.com to request a refund. We reply within 72 hours. Approved refunds go back to your original payment method.
5. When you get everything back
You receive a full refund, including the deposit, if:
- Gongsio cancels the trip;
- China's visa-free entry policy changes in a way that affects the trip; or
- you are refused a visa.
6. Transferring your spot
You can transfer your spot to another eligible student for free. Tell us in writing at hello@gongsio.com.
7. Visits
Company, university and other visits are planned but not guaranteed until the host confirms. We may change or replace visits.
8. Round 2: travel documents
After you confirm, we collect passport, visa, insurance and waiver details through a secure form. We never ask for these in round 1.
9. Privacy
We use your information only to plan and run the trip. We do not sell it. We share it only with the travel providers who need it, such as the airline, hotels and insurer.
10. Creator contest
The #GongsioChallenge contest is governed by separate Official Contest Rules, published at /terms#rules. In short: one grand prize of C$7,999 cash; the contest ends at 11:59 PM Vancouver time (Pacific Time), February 1, 2027. If anything here differs from the Official Contest Rules, those rules apply to the contest.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of British Columbia and the federal laws of Canada that apply there.
